killer in these few wano/ onigashima raid chapters is very funny to watch - dealing with luffy and kid's competitiveness, as well as witnessing luffy and zoro's insane shenanigans
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and laughing about the chaos around askjds
Tumblr media
"This crew'a a joke!" ashfjf he's right, to some extent
Tumblr media
((love that luffy only had to say what the kaido pirates did - wasting the oshiruko soup, and zoro was on the same side immediately - this could be a great parallel to whiskey peak actually - when at that time luffy was angry for thinking zoro would hurt the people that helped them and gave them food, instead of getting his side of the story (that they were bounty hunters after them). and in this case it was zoro being angry (more like annoyed) for their cover being blown - which he made more difficult to keep with slicing a building in half). but once zoro realized it was about the food and luffy's anger was more important, they went into the fight together.))
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(subtletly could never be luffy and zoro's thing, especially when those pirates spilled and wasted food. i like both of these version - in anime with zoro asking luffy if he's happy now after they caused more havoc and needed to run, as well as in the manga, if luffy's satisfied with the chaos.)
back to my previous point about killer:
Tumblr media
yeah, tel them killer, at least your captain knows how to operate under cover during an important mission and doesn't make a scen- OH
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and for the luffy & kid immediate competitiveness - it's always funny to see him so worked up with kid and law to be the best out of them
Tumblr media
yep, idiots, all of them (affectionate) <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"whuzzat?" "!!!" thank god killer has that mask so it can't be shown how much he's done with them, right?

Eustass Kid x Killer Challenge: Kikitober 2024 "Mask" Rating: Teen & Up Warnings: None Tags: Friends to Lovers, Partners, Swearing, Love Confessions, Love Summary: Kid was never bothered by Killer’s mask. Well, other than the fact that he hated the history behind it. If that’s what made Kill comfortable, then that’s all that mattered. So why does looking at it suddenly fill him with rage? Word Count: 900
"And if you go, I wanna go with you. And if you die, I wanna die with you."
Kid’s thoughts went around like a carousel as his hands idled away at some random piece of junk. In all honesty he wasn’t really focused on what he was doing. His hands just needed to move. Normally, being in the shop was a quick fix to quiet his mind. Not today.
He fucked up. He had snapped plenty of times, at plenty of people—but never at Killer. He just didn’t understand what was wrong with him. I mean, clearly something was going on with him—but that didn’t mean he had to blow up at him about it. It’s just…he was being so frustrating. Why the fuck was he acting so weird lately? It’s like he was avoiding him. Plus, even though he normally had a mask on, he was always looking at him in the eye. But now? He wouldn’t even look his direction.
Had he done something wrong? Said something? It was pissing him the fuck off. Fuck! How was he suppose to run the ship when his first mate couldn’t even interact with him???
He couldn’t take it anymore. His hands slammed down whatever he was working on as he stood up suddenly, the chair he was sitting in pushed out behind him. He was going to find out what was going on one way or another—and put an end to whatever bullshit this was.
It was getting late but Killer should still be up. He grabbed his coat, knocking the chair it was slung over to the floor has he stormed out of his quarters. Where the fuck would he be? Kitchen? Yeah. Probably prepping for tomorrow’s meals. His footsteps fell heavy on the deck, the gentle breeze doing nothing to cool the angry flush forming on his face and neck.
“Killer!” he boomed. Killer’s body stiffened at the sound of Kid’s voice.
“Yes Captai—?” he couldn’t even get the words out before he was stumbling back, pulled by his shirt. “Hey! Stop! W-what are you doing??” He hastily dropped the knife in his hand, tossing it toward the sink as he was ripped away from the counter.
Kid remains silent. It’s taking all of him to keep his mouth shut as he drags Killer out of the kitchen, across the deck, and into his quarters—the only place on the ship that’s remotely private. It’s almost too forceful the way he pushes him into his room, emphatically slamming the door shut behind them.
The room is dimly lit, but well enough to stare daggers into the blonde’s back. Kid starts pacing, his footsteps growing heavier with every step. Kill stands silently, only the soft glow of candlelight illuminating his emotionless mask.
Kid snaps. “I’m fucking sick of this Killer! You think I can’t tell when something is wrong?! You think you can hide behind that mask from me?! You won’t even look in my direction anymore!” Kid’s voice is laced with anger, concern, and something...something raw.
But Killer doesn’t respond. His frame hunched slightly as his eyes remain on the ground before him. Tense, heart beating. He’s not sure what he should say…not sure what he can say.
Kid spins on his foot, practically catapulting himself toward his first mate. His presence overwhelming as he approaches. A metal arm reaches out, the tips of his claw scraping against the metal of the blue and white mask that hides the blonde’s face from view.
“You want to hide from everyone? Fine. It’s always been that way. But hiding from me?!”he hisses. In a swift motion his claws grasp the mask, ripping it off and tossing it to the side like trash.
Killer’s heart skips and his breath hitches. A stunned silence fills the room. His exposed face revealing a convoluted mix of emotions bore on his face—shock, fear. But there’s something else. Something vulnerable the likes of which he has never seen cross his friend’s face. It’s paired with the now too familiar view of his avoiding gaze. Kid’s given up on personal space. He steps closer as a hand reaches up, grasping the blonde’s chin in his hand and forcing his gaze. As their eyes meet, a bright red flush floods Killer’s face.
“Stop running from me Killer. You’ve always been able to tell me when something is wrong. Always. If you’ve had something to say you’ve always been able to say it. So whatever it is, just say it! Fuck!”
Killer bats away kids hand, his gaze turning away. “Not this.”
The rage bubbling within Kid boils over. He tackles his friend to the floor, pinning him. “How the fuck am I supposed to act like nothing is happening when my own god damn partner can’t so much as look at me? Spit it out!”
Killer’s heart races. Hands wrap around his throat. “TELL ME!”
“FINE! FUCK IT! YOU WANT TO RUIN EVERYTHING?! EVERYTHING WE’VE HAVE? EVERYTHING WE’VE BUILT—?!”
“What…?” a look of confusion, worry, and betrayal crosses Kid’s face. What was he saying?
Killer’s next words come out in sharp contrast to his outburst. Quiet and reserved, almost a murmur.
“I love you.”
Kid’s hands go lax, falling to his sides. “W…what?”
“I’m in love with you Kid,” he confesses, his soft words blaring in Kid’s ears, “I was trying to avoid it because…we’ve been friends our whole lives and I didn’t want to rui—”
“I love you too.”

Badass. BADASSSSSSSS
Tumblr media
Luffy uses “Self-Sacrifice” to inspire the prisoners and it was Very Effective!
Like did the effects of the plague bullet just stop working? Or I guess they forgot about it temporarily to beat on the guards.
But Luffy just walking away from an explosion like an absolute BADDIE and basically ordering the other prisoners attack. CONFIDENT that he had convinced them, even without the confirmation.
Getting to see serious Luffy is always so much fun.

actually my favorite trope in one piece is when something very bad happens and then luffy's typical luck does something to fix it only for luffy to fuck it up and make it even worse and the cycle keeps on repeating a few times over and you're just sitting there wondering when lady luck will just give up on this dumb idiot already, love that

Eustass Kid x Reader | GN! AFAB! Challenge: Kikitober 2024 "Loyalty" Rating: Mature Warnings: Major Character Death Tags: Hate, Swearing, Revenge, Swearing, Grief, Loss Summary: You never knew how much it would hurt to lose everything. Word Count: 903 ← Previous Chapter | Next Chapter →
Tumblr media
Notes: This series will include graphic material. As such all chapters will be marked as 18+ regardless of their content.
This isn’t going to be easy.
Unfortunately for you, the man who took your lover’s life is far from ordinary—or weak. Granted, if he had been killed by anything less than a powerful opponent you’d have brought him back from the dead just so you could kill him yourself…
You fucking prick. Why did you have to go and die?
There is not a chance in hell you can take on his whole crew. Honestly, it won’t be a piece of cake dealing with him on his own. You’re going to have to get this fucker alone. Not that that was going to be a piece of cake. As for the rest? Well, you’ll still have to figure that out...but you have time. Intel will be crucial, and it would take time to gather. After all, either this plan succeeds...or you reunite with Kid earlier than anticipated. You’ve got nothing to lose. Dead or alive—you’d do anything for that wild red-haired man. You’ll be happy either way.
I will get revenge—or die trying.
Calm down. You need to do this right. Tracking him down is going to take a lot more than wild rage. Pirates are rarely alone and you doubt Shanks is an exception. As much as you adored Kid, following in his hot-headed footsteps would definitely see you reunited. The object of your new sick obsession was a Yonko for fucks sake. A fate preferable to a time after you’ve exacted your revenge—not before.
These thoughts and a million more clouded your mind—a cacophonous lullaby. Sleep came easier than it should have. A smile plastered on your face. The kind that graces someone’s lips when they give away everything they own. When they tell their loved ones how much they care for them while giving away their belongings. It wasn’t the manifestations of a need for vengeance that greeted you—it was him.
You were back on the Punk Victoria, your home, and he—everyone—was alive. You could feel his rough hands wrapped around your waist tucked under your shirt, his fingers laced together on the small of your back. His cologne was the sea, spiced with iron and gunpowder. His laugh echoed across the ship. That wild, reckless, boisterous laugh that often borders on maniacal. Music to your ears.
“You really think you can take me on?” he teases, his voice sending vibrations through your body like a distant thunder. He pulls you closer. You return his question with a snarky retort, eliciting another rumbling laugh from the muscled man holding you. You always challenged him—and he loved it. Though, to be fair, your spars often started on the deck and ended in his quarters. He went easier on you in the bedroom than he ever did in your fights. And that was saying something, but you wouldn’t have it any other way. You were in love.
Today though, he wasn’t in the mood to fight first. He hoisted you up before you could protest, swinging you over his shoulder like piece of cargo. A booming laugh vibrated through you as you sent a round of punches you didn’t mean into his back—telling him to put you down. You both know you didn’t mean it.
“Alright, alright,” he chuckled “I’ll put you down.”
Already at his door, your feet met the floor as he set you down gently. Kid’s arm reached for the handle, and he stepped inside. A cruel twisting feeling began to snake through your body—a pit forming in your stomach large enough to swallow you whole. In horror you watched his body started to unravel. You clawed at the air in front of you, traces of his image filtering through your fingers. If you could just call out to him—tell him you love him...maybe... Your mouth moved, but couldn’t form a single word. The smell of metal that clung onto him like cologne dissipated. You tried to scream, but produced no sound. Then he was gone.
You resolve to follow him, taking a decisive step over the threshold. You didn’t need to know what was waiting on the other side to follow him through. Wherever he went you would follow. If he was there that was all that mattered. Your foot crossed the threshold, but instead of making contact with the Victoria you found yourself falling through her floor—cascaded into an endless red void.
Your eyes snapped open. The sting of tears on your cheeks roused you. Sweat and tears drenched your clothes and bed, sticky and cold. You sat up, trying to regain your bearings, tugging at your wet shirt. Then reality hit you all over again. Like a ton of bricks, it brought you down with a force, the weight almost crushing you. He was gone. The steel returned to your back quickly enough though, as you recalled your resolve last night.
No matter what it takes, no matter what it costs, I’m going to make you suffer.
Peeling yourself off your bed, you grabbed your only change of clothes. A large, ratty t-shirt with illegible text, and a round spiked jolly roger on the back. Held together by various thread, safety pins, and a prayer. You pulled it over your head, taking a moment to inhale it’s scent as you pulled it over your face.
The smell of the sea, iron, and gunpowder.

cw: set during wano arc right after udon prison is conquered. reader and luffy have been separated since whole cake island arc.
You haven’t shifted in what feels like hours, and perhaps your knees are starting to get tired, but the idea of waking your sleeping love Luffy by moving makes you feel far worse than any lower extremity numbness could. With the deepness of his slumber, the reality is that even if a meteor struck the very earth right now, it probably wouldn’t be able to wake him, and yet even the way you gently stroke his hair is done gingerly, with the lightest of touches. Perhaps a small part of you is compensating for the strange men you’ve let occupy this closeness to your body, and cradling his head in your lap feels like paying a sort of penance for the way you’ve traded away your affections for coin and information over the past few weeks. It’s silly - Luffy wouldn’t care if you sold your body to every person on earth, as long as you chose to stay by him when all was said and done.
Tama peers at you from a distance, the hat she’s braided together for Luffy held tightly in her hand.
“Do you think he’ll wake up soon?” she asks. “I made him this.”
You smile. “So very kind of you,” you offer her. She smiles brightly, and continues to hold on to it for when the right moment comes, as she walks off. You continue to watch over Luffy as he sleeps, and soon you are no longer looking at him, but through him, playing a conversation in your head that has yet to happen.
Were you okay (without me)? How did you survive (without me)?
Did you miss me? We won’t ever be apart again, right?
There is a part of you that attaches so strongly to this man resting in this sacred holding space - stronger than any anchor, woven more tightly than the strongest twine. Luffy is a lifeline to not just you, but many, and yet you wonder just how desperately the others hold on. Can he sense how much you need him? Does he need you even half as much?
Your hand passes carefully across the surface of his cheek. He is so peaceful when he’s asleep, like a gentle breeze, the kind that teases through linens hung out to dry; turbulent and troublesome when he is awake, a strong gust that tears roofs from homes and turns ships into wrecks. Your hand stops, and your fingers cup his cheek gently, holding your world in the palm of your hand. For just a moment, you imagine that there’s a ghost of a smile onto his features, gone just as fast as you perceive it, and your heart skips a beat.
And then suddenly you’re embarrassed. Embarrassed at the weight in your chest and the emotion that wells up inside you just looking at the man you love. Over the time you’ve been apart, you’ve grown to hate men a little - some men, the kind that see you as nothing but a form of entertainment in some way, shape or form, the type that demand to be held by a woman with care without providing any sense of safety or comfort or kindness to remind them that they are not interchangeable, that each lap is different and each bosom is a unique sort of sweetness and each heart has its own idiosyncrasies.
And yet, you could never hate this one man, even if you tried.
You try to focus your eyes on something else, relishing in the lush greens of the forest and the dappled sunlight that peeks through the tall bamboo; you focus your ears not at the thump of your own heart beating but at the bird songs. You try to feel something else other than the rise and fall of his chest.
“Hey.”
The sound of Luffy’s voice can draw you in for miles, and he’s awake now, dark brown eyes heavy-lidded as they look up at you.
It takes you a moment, but breathily you whisper a greeting back at him. “Hey.”
As though still wrought with a fairytale like fatigue, he smiles at you and it turns you into mush.
“I think I forgot how pretty you are,” he mumbles.
The last thing he means to do is to charm you with anything other than the truth, but you can feel tears come to your eyes.
And he senses this, his grin growing wider and more reassuring until the tears splash softly onto him. He brings himself up into a sitting position as you wipe them away, and quickly pulls you against his chest.
He doesn’t have to say it but the way he holds you, you can already tell, he missed you just as much as you did him.

Luffy not wanting to be viewed as a hero is actually so important to me. Because while the first reasoning we get for this is him not wanting to share his food
Tumblr media
We also learn later on that Luffy also doesn't want to be viewed as a savior, nor does he ever want to present himself as such. He doesn't want to be placed on a pedestal or (ironically) be deified by the people he helps.
At the end of Fishman island, he was fully ready to leave without fanfare because he did not want to be treated by the people in that way, and only agrees to stay because he is promised food. The same thing happens at the end of Wano, where he refuses to take any credit for the downfall of Kaido and instead simply enjoys the festival with everyone else.
I cannot overstate how much I love this decision for Luffy as a character. It is incredibly common for stories like Fishman Island and Wano to have the main character swoop in and save the oppressed people, with said character being to sole person to rally them and "teach" them how to fight back. We don't get that with Luffy.
In Fishman Island, he tells the people that its up to them to decide whether or not he is their friend or foe instead of swooping in playing the role of the hero. In Wano, he understands to importance of who begins the fight with Kaido, and stands back to let the Red Scabbards (Wano natives) get the first major hit on Kaido
Tumblr media
Even in the prison when Luffy gives his speech, he is asking the people to let him help, to have faith that they and their country can be free again, to fight for the freedom that had been cruelly stripped away from them. And even then, it is Momo and members of the Red Scabbards that fully restore the Udon prisoners faith.
Hell, we even see this all the way back in Arlong Park, where Luffy waits to take action until Nami asks him for help. He doesn't come in guns blazing and save her like some sort of white knight, but instead waits for Nami's go ahead, placing the power in her hand.
It's just such a refreshing way of seeing a protagonist in this type of story be portrayed. To have him understand the importance of the people he fight's side by side with, and not place himself as the fixer of all problems, but rather as an aid to these people (often times an aid that they explicitly asked for). It actively rejects the white savior/white knight trope(s) and allows for the people native to the island to have agency in these large battles instead of being sidelined. It is their lives and stories that are centered as being the most important in these moments, and Luffy is simply there to help them.

Jailbirds - M. Luffy
Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
The sunlight burned into your eyes, the screams and yells of your fellow prisoners rushing into your ears. Painful and exhausted tears forced your eyes to push open, squinting in the sunlight. You dragged your hands up to your patterned kimono and wiped them onto the fabric before bringing your hands up and rubbing your eyes, the iron shackles heavy on your lap and looping around your wrist.
“This is the boy who defied Kaido!”
“The one who attacked him?”
“I thought he'd be a bit larger!”
“I thought he'd be similar to Queen!”
You yawned, standing up and walking to the front of your cell-- cage, more like. You narrowed your eyes to find the boy that seemed to be the center of attention; it was rare for things to be lively here in Udon. Messy black hair and a bloodied and patched red kimono; but even more than that, his face was wrapped in blood stained bandages. His gray eyes glared up at everyone, the chain of the sea prism stone shackles slathered across the floor and connecting to the handcuffs wrapped around his wrist.
After a few more long, dragged steps, he was thrown into the jail cell next to you. “Looks like you've got company now, Missy.” One of the guards snarled, spitting onto your face as he spoke. For once, you were glad that the cell separated you from the guard. Otherwise, who knows what he’d be desperate enough to do to you?
“Piss off.” You snapped, walking to the back wall of your cell. “I’m not supposed to do work today.” The prison guard rolled his eyes, grubby hands gripping the beams of the cell.
“You’re lucky you’re a woman and Queen finds you attractive. Otherwise, you wouldn’t even be here.” He growled, before stalking off. You raised your middle finger from behind the bars once he was out of sight. You knew that two cells away from you were an angry and barbaric red haired man who was missing an arm. You silently wondered if he would get along with this newcomer.
You slid down the cold, wet wall, looking up at the mucky ceiling. You were here for no good reason; stealing food to help feed a starving little girl who you had found on the streets even though you had no money yourself definitely wasn't the best decision you've made in your life. You wondered what the newcomer was here for; you knew that he had defied Kaido in some way, but how so? And why?
The next day, you're released, expected to carry blocks of stone to the port…as usual. The newly captured prisoner was only supposed to start working a few hours later, but in the cell, he looked like he was starving. You had carried 30 blocks of stone so far, exchanging it for only 6 millet dumplings. But you sighed, pushing the bowl of dumplings into the narrow holes of his cell. “You're probably hungry, you've just been newly captured after all. Take off your bandages and eat.”
He stared at the bowl in front of him as if it were a gift given from his savior, and tearing off the partially red bandages on his face, he shoved the millet dumplings into his mouth. “Hank yew!” He exclaimed, his cheeks round with millet dumplings. You shook your hand around, shaking your head. Stay quiet, you wanted to say. You would both get in trouble if the prison guards had caught you.
A few hours later, he was released from his cell to do more prison work, and within just a few minutes--and with his sea prism stone cuffs--he had already carried hundreds of blocks. Well shit. So if he could have gotten bowls and bowls and hundreds and hundreds of dumplings so easily, then what was the point of your pity and generosity for him?
“Hey! Thank you for earlier!” He came over to you, smiling, a long stone over his shoulder. You narrowed your eyes, gripping the large stone over your shoulder as you continued to drag your feet to the port.
“You're awfully happy for someone who just got captured. But you're welcome…what's your name?” You asked, his delight almost making you want to grin along with him. These were the most dangerous kind of people: the one whose emotions were contagious.
“I'm Monkey D Luffy! And I'm gonna be the King of the--” He began, as if he were speaking on instinct. He came to his senses, and quickly changed his mind. “I'm Luffytaro!”
Your lips pressed into a thin line. “You're a foreigner, aren't you? A pirate? And I'm guessing your real name is Luffy.” It wasn't really a guess, considering how he says so himself.
“Yep!”
“You're quite honest, aren't you? Well, I don't personally think that's a bad thing, but be careful about being so honest around here.” You muttered. “My name's (Y/n). Wano resident here; been here since birth. Welcome to Wano, and I hope you enjoy your time here…well, aside from being in jail and stuff. Udon is shit. How old are you? Just curious. I'm not creepy, I promise.”
“I'm 19.” Luffy said, beaming. Why was he smiling for no reason? How strange.
“You're older than me? Wow. I'm eighteen. Well, anyways, nice meeting you, Luffy.” You limped away, slipping another rock onto the port.
------
The sight in front of you was unbelievable.
Luffy, who has now been revealed as a pirate, leading all of the inmates out to freedom. You stiffened, unmoving and simply staring at him as he grinned and led. Finally, as all of the inmates were escaping, he turned to you. “Aren't you going to escape?”
Yes, yes, you wanted to. But your feet stayed planted on the ground; why weren't you moving? Haven't you always dreamed of this? Always dreamed of finally being free from this hell? Finally, your lips parted as you began to speak. “I'm from Okobore Town. Being let out of here…would it really be any different from being out there? What freedom would I be given? I'm still restricted from speaking my truth, still restricted from eating good food, still restricted to telling the truth about this country…”
Luffy looked up before putting a hand on his chin, thinking, before he looked down at you once more. “I'll defeat Kaido and I'll make this a place where you can say whatever you want to, eat as much as you want to, and you won't have to worry a thing!” He grinned at you, and he almost looked like the sun. So much that you could feel the corner of your lips quirking up, and when he looked into your eyes, it was almost as if the world had become more colorful.
He took your hand, and you both ran out of Udon, your first few steps towards freedom.
------
Following closely behind Kin’emon, Momonosuke, and Yamato, you huffed as you ran, your eyes finally meeting the port where the Heart Pirate, Kid Pirates, and Straw Hat pirates had their ships. Momonosuke instantly leaped onto Luffy, angry at first, but eventuall beginning to cry. You stood next to Yamato, your eyes lingering on Luffy as he said his farewells. You were a little surprised that Yamato wasn't going to join the Straw Hats, but perhaps he had other ideas.
Finally, Luffy reached you, and he handed you something.
His bounty poster.
“Hang it up on your wall, yeah? That way no one will want to hurt you!” Luffy said, beaming. Heat crawled up your neck and all the way to your eyes as you took the poster, lips trembling into a smile.
“I will. And visit anytime, okay? I'd love to have you here at Wano again.” You replied, tears stinging your eyes.
“Of course! Once I become the King of the Pirates, I'll visit you and we'll eat lots of meat!”
And finally, he hopped aboard the ship, the Sunny departing the Land of Wano. But as Luffy looked out on the open sea, he saw only your smile and the plethora of adventures and new islands awaiting him.
“I see you soon, (Y/n).”

Chapter 943/episode 941 of One Piece gets a lot of attention for the Zoro & Sanji reunion scene, but I don't think I've seen anyone call out the ZoLu parallel that happens right before that. Despite being in different situations at different locations, both Luffy and Zoro have the same visceral reaction when they think the villagers are mocking Yasuie's death.
This parallel gets overlooked because Zoro's response happens in chapter 942 while Luffy's is shown in chapter 943, but their reactions are happening at the same moment in time, while Zoro is in the Flower Capital and Luffy is in Udon prison camp (watching the execution on live stream). Not knowing about the Smile Fruits, both Luffy and Zoro are shown to be furious that Ebisu Town villagers - including Yasuie's own daughter - are laughing at a man's death. The anime makes the parallel even more apparent because you can really hear the anger in both their voices.
Although the rest of the Straw Hats are there along with Zoro, none of them have nearly as intense emotional responses to the laughter as Zoro and Luffy do. We can only speculate as to why Zoro & Luffy both get so angry, but regardless of its coming from, the point is that there's something about the (perceived) lack of respect that affects Zoro and Luffy more than it does the other Straw Hats.
This is a small moment, but it once again shows how Luffy and Zoro are on the same wavelength, with the same values shared only by them. (It's a precursor to the more overt ZoLu moment later on in Wano, when they both have the same reaction to the spilled oshiruko, right down the same flashback.)
Bonus Chapter 944 Panel: Luffy watching all the resulting chaos, with eyes only on one person.
Tumblr media
Your other crew members are also there Luffy.........,,,,,,,
(The anime moment of this is even cuter! Luffy starts cheering, then realizes that cheering might give away his identity, thinks about it for a second, and then decides, fuck it, imma cheer for Zoro anyway!! And they say Luffy doesn't play favorites)
